Not so long ago, in the late 1970's and early 1980's, a couple of brothers set out to make aviation history. Pioneering a new type of aircraft called ultralights (what's an ultralight?), Wes and Tim Friesen felt as if they were following in the footsteps of Lindbergh, Earhart, and the Wright Brothers. Because of their craziness and sense of wild adventure, the press dubbed them "The Wrong Brothers". The name stuck and with great success. Soon they were getting calls from national television shows and receiving media attention worldwide. You may have seen them on the Today Show and Good Morning America just to mention a few. Well, this kicked the Wrong Brothers into high gear - they started a manufacturing facility and produced state of the art ultra-light airplanes. People flew in from around the world to buy and distribute these unique and fun airplanes. The Wrong Brothers were fast becoming an American success story.
Then, in April of 1980, Wes and Tim, The Wrong Brothers, made aviation history. Taking off from the Big Island of Hawaii in two of their "Right Flyer" ultralights, they set out to establish the world over-water record for ultralight aircraft. Against the odds, their flight path took them through dangerous air currents and over treacherous waters of the Hawaiian island chain. Three hours and ten minutes later, they landed to a huge reception on the island of Oahu. One hundred and thirty nine miles over water, the world over-water record for an ultra-light was now established. What's the big deal you say? Airplanes fly that kind of distance all the time, you say. Well bucko, if you have to ask that kind of question, you obviously don't know what an ultralight is -go to the link (what's an ultralight?). We risked our lives to prove that we were the best in our field and we at least deserve for you to understand just exactly what we did. Don't we? Of course we do! You too deserve to become very interested in what we do and why we do it. Don't you? Of course you do! Read on... Fast forward -present day. Having told our historic, crazy, and adventurous flying stories over the years in seedy watering holes throughout this great land, we found our listeners craving to know more and asking us "Why don't you guy's write a book about your adventures?". So out of our archives, we pulled out the best and most tantalizing stories we could come up with and put them to paper. Yup, that's right -we wrote a book! Now, I ask you dear reader, how could anyone not resist the temptation to want to read an adventure tale written by a couple of guy's called "The Wrong Brothers". It's crazy isn't it? It includes a lot of interesting stuff: Love, lust, greed, good times, bad times, staring death in the face times, chicks chasing us, and lots of crazy unbelievable situations we found ourselves in. Now for the interesting part. Our book isn't published yet. But, we have publishers interested in it, and also they have already been talking about movie rights (Really, it's that good!). Since we want to establish the best possible book and movie deals, we have conjured up a promotion that is sure to have publishers and producers knocking down our doors. What we have planned is a summer 2004 barnstorming flying adventure in two ultralight aircraft across the United States.

We figured, we'd start in Hollywood Florida and finish in Hollywood California. The return of the Wrong Brothers. Coming to a town near you (maybe even your town!). Along the way, we will be landing (press and media with us) in cities along the way to share our stories and promote our adventures! At about this point, you probably are asking yourself "This sounds like fun, and I need more spontaneous fun in my life. How can I help the Wrong Brothers to accomplish this worthy and meaningful task?" We're glad you asked. We need help in acquiring much needed finances to purchase valuable assets to our mission and get us from coast to coast. Through donations and collectable merchandise purchased through this site, we plan to raise $50,000 dollars. This will cover our airplanes and necessary equipment. It's really not that much. Now, you don't have to send in $50,000 (although you could if you like what were doing and can afford it), but even $12, or $25, or $50 can add up real fast (click here, or the Sponsor Us button). And we are not asking only for donations. We have fun Wrong Brothers merchandise available at our Sponsor Us page (click here). Heck, help us out, and we'll help you out. If say, you buy a T-shirt shirt from us, we'll pretty much guarantee that when you wear it, you'll be the talk of the town. It's the least we can do for you. So, whatta ya say? Are you in?
We sincerely thank all of you for your support.
